Delete your account
You can ask us to delete your UmnisBooks account and the personal data attached to it at any time. You do not need to be signed in to make the request.
How to request deletion
Email privacy@umnis.com from the address on the account, with the subject “Account deletion request”. If you no longer have access to that address, use our support form instead and tell us which account you mean.
We verify that the request really comes from the account holder, then delete the account within 30 days and confirm by email when it is done.
What gets deleted
- Your account, name, email address and password
- Your library and every purchase, rental and subscription entitlement
- Your highlights, annotations, notes, bookmarks and reading progress
- Your reviews and any notes you shared with other readers
- Your analytics profile and any crash reports linked to you
What we have to keep
- Transaction records, which tax and accounting law requires us to keep for seven years after the transaction. These are held on their own and are not used to build a profile of you.
Deletion is permanent
Books and audiobooks you have bought or rented cannot be restored afterwards, and we cannot transfer them to another account. If you only want to stop using the app for a while, signing out keeps your library intact.
